CADsmit (cadsmit.com) is a free Autodesk Inventor 2027 video course. There are no accounts and no sign-up. This page explains what data the Site and the services it uses can collect.
Stored in your browser
Lessons you finish, quiz results, saved sessions, your notes, the last lesson opened, your light/dark choice and the access-code unlock are kept in your browser’s local storage. They stay on your device, are never sent to us, and are removed if you clear site data.
YouTube videos
Lectures are embedded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). When you play a video, YouTube (Google) may set cookies and record viewing data under Google’s privacy policy.
Advertising — Google AdSense
The Site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised advertising in Google Ad Settings or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info. See how Google uses data from partner sites.
Analytics
We measure which lessons are opened so we know what to re-teach. Google Analytics (with IP anonymisation) and/or Cloudflare Web Analytics may record pages visited, lessons opened, device type and approximate location. Cloudflare Web Analytics uses no cookies.
Hosting
The Site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes standard request data (such as IP address) to deliver and protect the Site, under Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
AI course assistant and quizzes
Questions you type into the course assistant are sent to Cloudflare Workers AI to generate an answer from the lecture transcripts; quiz questions are generated the same way. We do not store your questions or link them to you; a temporary, anonymised counter limits how many questions can be asked per day. Please don’t enter personal information in the assistant.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under GDPR in the EU/UK), you can ask what data is held about you and ask for it to be deleted. We hold no personal data ourselves; requests about ads, analytics or video data are handled by Google and Cloudflare through the links above.
